The Silver Man of Heatley Green
I have scoured the area for many years for tales of the paranormal and found and investigated many forms. From cursed horse bells to poltergeists. One pattern that developed is that the Uttoxeter to Abbots Bromley road has had its fair share of UFO and alien sightings. For some reason the latter is rarely reported, it seems ghosts and ghouls are considered far more acceptable to speak of without fear of ridicule. The story I had told to me concerned a giant ‘silver man’ at the side of the road near the turn-off for Heatley.
The storyteller told me she was reluctant to stop as the ‘man’ waved her down. But she had no option as all electrics in the car failed and it shuddered to a halt. Our car driver watched as the silver-suited man approached and looked into her window - she could see no face. She woke up a few hours later some miles away on the old airfield area off Harley Lane - a site of many UFO sightings, ghosts, and boggarts.
She was unharmed, but could not recall how she got from her car to the new location. She did have several lesions and puncture marks, which are medically documented. Her car was recovered and worked perfectly.
There were several UFO sightings around that time in the area. The alien seems to be different from the large-eyed ‘Greys’ and their smaller relatives for frequently reported but is still a regular sighting across the country
