Incident on the Astral Plane
For those who are not aware of the Astral Planes, these are simply put, realms where the human soul or spirit can venture outside of the physical body while the body lives. For some people this is possible through training, for others this is through a spontaneous experience. Through the Uttoxeter Paranormal site, I came into contact with a local man who told me how he had ventured into the Astral Realms and had a disturbing experience.
‘Stephen’ had been interested in the Astral Realms and after some time practicing deep meditation, he finally began to be able to leave his body and enter the realms. First, his outings were short and he was often pulled back to his body involuntarily. He says the realm he got to did not look much different from our own, the town of Uttoxeter looked pretty much like it does when in the body but he could fly, pass through walls, etc - but it was strange in that it was never dark, it was illuminated in a strange way.
Stephen had been warned that the astral realms were not uninhabited, he could meet people like himself, but there were other non-human entities out there. He was also advised to protect his empty body as it was vulnerable when he was away. The way to do this, or one way, was to cover the chakras with silver jewelry of some sort. After the excitement of achieving his goal and entering the astral plane at will and not having any unpleasant experiences, he decided not to bother setting up his protection.
One night outside of his body he felt as if he was being watched, like when you feel eyes on you in the street. He felt cold and threatened. He also knew that the observers were getting closer, he felt a sense that they were traveling from a great distance and it seemed, upwards through the darkness.
Stephen attempted to terminate his outing and woke up in his room in bed. He felt he could relax but the sense of fear and dread persisted and began to intensify. He tried to get up but found himself paralysed. Then they entered the room and his realm.
The pursuers looked like two bright blue points of light, like the light of a welding torch. They hovered around him, investigating, watching, looking for something. All this time he could not move and felt in great danger, not a physical danger he told me, but a spiritual danger. Then they attacked him.
The entities went for a ring on his finger. They tugged and pulled on it violently. He could not understand and then realised it was the only precious metal on his body. It was a gold signet ring his parents had given him when he was younger and it seemed it was the only thing between these spirits taking control of his body. The incident ended abruptly and he woke up, as if from a dream, in the morning, the bedclothes soaked in sweat.
Stephen did think perhaps it had been a vivid dream at first, but when he looked at his ring and finger he realised it had been very real. His finger was bloodied and swollen, so swollen he could not remove the ring. Later it had to be cut off as the swelling was cutting off his circulation. He was very lucky it seems. His excursion into the astral planes, leaving his body unprotected, had not been unnoticed. And there had been a race to get there - he had only arrived just I time before a point when he would have found out his earthly body was inhabited when he returned ….
